Migros enjoys positive feedback for its sustainable activities in the form of awards and good survey ratings. In 2010 the Migros Culture Percentage was pronounced Investor in Culture of the Year and Migros won the Swiss Solar Award, among other things.
Migros enjoys the highest reputation, according to GfK BusinessReflector, the annual survey of the GfK market research institute. Swatch and Lindt & Sprüngli came second and third respectively. In 2009 Migros was ranked third. The GfK institute interviews more than 3'400 people at 50 companies annually for the survey.

According to a representative online survey of 1'000 people by Marketagent market research institute, Migros is Switzerland's favourite retailer.
Switzerland's strongest brand
Of the 20 strongest brands in Switzerland, Migros is at the top, according to the 2010 BrandAssetTM Valuator market survey. Swiss values and traditions play an important role in the assessment of the various brands by more than 1'100 people. The top place reflects the affection and deep trust that Migros enjoys among the Swiss population. Young & Rubicam's BrandAssetTM Valuator is the most comprehensive brand survey in Switzerland.
Best reputation for environmental matters
In a Reader's Digest survey, 32'000 readers identified Migros as Switzerland's most reputable retailer in environmental matters. Migros also occupies a leading position in the areas of fuels, household cleaners, dairy produce and washing products.
EHI Energy Management Award
Migros has been using energy responsibly for more than 30 years. It started its commitment in 1981 with the launch of energy statistics for Migros branches. Since then, Migros has opened numerous Minergie supermarkets and operates a total of 15 photovoltaic plants on its premises. Migros has been awarded the EHI Energy Management Award for these long-standing efforts.
Swiss Solar Awards
Migros Cooperative Vaud won the 2010 Swiss Solar Award jointly with energy supplier Romande Energie for the solar park on the roof of the Ecublens Migros central office. The plant can cover the annual power consumption of more than 300 households. The Solar Award is conferred under the aegis of the Swiss Federal Office of Energy.
Prime Property Award
The Westside leisure and shopping centre or Neue Brünnen AG was second in the Prime Property Award 2010. The sponsor Union Investment thereby honoured European real estate projects that combine business success with green and socio-cultural sustainability Westside will donate the prize money of EUR 10'000 to the non-profit organisation for public youth work, Berne West.
Investor in Culture of the Year
The culture brand award, advertised by the Causales agency, regularly picks the most successful and creative marketing strategies of culture providers and cities, culture mediators and culture investment forms in German-speaking countries.
